KamatSoft was established in 1991 to provide best of the breed business management solutions to the industries by combining latest advances in the information technology and business management practices.
First KamatSoft Solution was developed in COBOL. However considering scalability and performance issues the first packages software from KamatSoft, KamatSoft Business Analyst was developed in C++ for DOS and Novel Netware platform. This was later on ported to UNIX platform with common source code.
However company recognised potential of Windows when Windows 3.11 was released and started development of ERP solution on Windows Platform in 1994.
In 1997 company started development of supply chain solutions for leading companies in India. Initially company developed customised solutions on Windows platform. However in 2001 this was packaged as KamatSoft Symphony.
In 2003 KamatSoft switched over to web platform for scalability and wide area connectivity.
Apart from manufacturing sector, company has provided solutions to financial sector and service industries.
KamatSoft is promoted by Girish Narayan Kamat and Sharada Girish Kamat who are founder directors of the company.
Girish Kamat is Gold Medalist Cost Accountant and top ranking Chartered Accountant (10th in India) and with 10 years of experience in corporate management with Hindustan Lever Limited and Larsen & Toubro Limited and as Director of fast growing business group. He is also passionate C++ programmer having personally written more than million lines of high performance code. He has 25 years of experience in Information Technology with very high level of hands of experience of designing and developing solutions in C++ on both Unix and Windows Platform. Sharada Kamat is Commerce Graduate with Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications.
